Branding is one of the most important parts of marketing any product or service. For your book reading journey, you need to brand yourself!
Your branding will determine how people perceive you, what emotions they feel when interacting with you, and if they ever actually purchase anything from you.
So how do you develop your personal branding? By creating an online presence that aligns with who you are as a person and business owner!
You should always strive to create content that you would want to read, produce quality videos and audio recordings, and promote yourself using honest pictures and media.
This article will discuss some easy ways to begin developing your personal branding. Visit new websites for inspiration and start to add pieces of your life to the mix.
After you have done some initial research, gathered potential contacts, and determined your target market, it is time to start creating marketing campaigns!
As we mentioned before, starting with an introduction or slogan/closing sentence is important for establishing your business as legitimate. Now that you know who you are trying to reach and what they need, go in depth about these points and give them quality content to inspire action.
Your message should be clear and concise. If there is too much information, the audience will look to skip over something else more relevant to what they want. Keep it short and sweet!
After this introductions and body, close with a call-to-action (or final goal). This can be to buy a product, try out a service, visit a location, etc.
A strong marketing strategy does not depend only on what products or services you offer, but how well you market them. For example, even though Netflix is known for its streaming service, they also have lots of content that are made into movies and TV shows. These include documentaries, sitcoms, dramas, and more!
Their advertising campaign features stories with the tagline “Never watch television again” due to all of these ways to consume entertainment. They seem to be trying to shift people away from watching live broadcasted events by creating their own experiences through the use of entertainment.
This approach can work for your business as well! If there are no broadcasts or conventions happening, then create one! You could do an event tour around your product or service, filming it and putting it up online so others may enjoy it. Or organize a conference, seminar, or workshop using your product or service as material.
These types of advertisements are very popular because they appeal to different demographics and give the audience something new they can explore.
A lot of people make the mistake thinking that marketing only means telling others about your product or company. This is not true! Marketing also includes distributing promotional material to potential customers.
This can be done in many different ways, but one of our favorites is giving away free items or coupons for your service or products.
By doing this, you are letting other individuals know about your services without paying money for advertising. Many companies use giveaways as a way to increase their exposure and brand recognition.
The more exposures you have, the higher your chances of success with your business.
As mentioned earlier, you do not need a large budget to start engaging in social media marketing. There are several free tools that can help you launch and grow your business online. One of these is offering a discount or coupon for another product or service you provide.
You may know of brands that offer discounts during an annual sale, but what if those sales happen less frequently?
That is when people begin using coupons, or “coupon codes” as they are often called. Users who have access to the code can get some great deals from the supplier website by adding the item to their cart and then applying the promo code before checking out.
Another way to grow your online presence is by linking your site to other sites and services. Companies create websites that feature reviews, lists, blogs, and more about various products or services.
You can add yours to these service’s rosters by joining their affiliate program. By doing this you get paid a small fee for every referral sign up or sale you bring in for the sponsor company.
There are many ways to link your site to these programs. You could write a review, do a round-up, advertise via social media, respond to a question and answer session, etc.
The best way to find out which links work is through trial and error! If you start getting some revenue, keep experimenting to see what works for your business and what doesn’t.
As mentioned before, you will need to know who your readers are before you can start promoting them or marketing to them. What kind of content they enjoy and what types of products and services appeal to them is important information that helps in this process.
As you develop your bookmarketing strategy, keep in mind how much time each reader spends looking for books and entertainment apps and devices. This includes researching online stores and buying equipment necessary to read your book as well as downloading the app or software needed to access it.
The more aware you are of these things, the better chance you have at being successful with book marketing. You can use statistics and data to determine which strategies work for your target market so there is no wrong way to do business.
Interactive advertisements and promotions are another good way to gain exposure. Many sites offer free accounts to create an interactive advertisement or feature called a giveaway. Companies reward their followers or watchers of their site by giving away free merchandise or money to attend a conference.
This is very effective marketing because those getting the item or service directly benefit from it.
Help wanted! If you’re a book lover, then you know how hard it can be to find the time to read.
There are so many distractions in our lives these days – work calls, social media, TV shows – that staying ahead of the reading game can feel like an impossible feat.
That’s why I’m offering my most helpful tips for busy book lovers here free of charge. These five strategies will help you get into the habit of reading, while also helping you enjoy what you’ve got going on.
I’ll focus on fiction, but all of these strategies apply to non-fiction as well. And even if you don’t always have time to read, you can still benefit from some of these.
You see, this is more than just about having fun with books. This is about developing good habits that will hopefully stick long term.
So what do you say? Are you willing to make time to read? Let me know via a comment or tweet (@BookBazz) and I'll add yours to the list.
More than ever before, word of mouth is an important tool for any business to use. If you want your bookshop to be known, then you need to make it known through social media channels and via word-of-mouth conversations.
On Amazon, readers can give your book their review and spread positive words about what you have written and made available for consumption. On Goodreads, users can add comments and talk about what they recently read, which may lead to more people reading your work.
If there are no reviews, potential customers will assume that your book isn’t very good or worth investing in, making it less likely that they will buy a copy. It's your reputation on the line!
So how do you get reviews? You could ask family members, friends, and colleagues to write a brief review but don’t stop there. There are many ways to gain authentic reviews from all over the internet.
You can create free accounts on sites like Yelp and Google My Business and leave a review. Or if you have a Facebook account, why not invite some of your friends to do the same? The possibilities are endless.
