As mentioned earlier, you can edit your canvas documents using either the Microsoft Word format or the Google Docs format. Both of these rich editing features are limited to paid accounts only! If you already have a Canva account, you’re already given this option but it is not easy to find information about how to use it.
In this article we will be going through all the steps necessary to enable the rich content editor for your Canva document. It’ll work just like it does for free accounts so there is no need to spend any money to use it.
In the Settings area, you will find an option for rich content editor. You can enable or disable this feature here!
To add some initial decorations to your page, click Add Rich Content. From there, you can upload and style an image, use text as content, or both.
You can also add basic color schemes and link directly to Amazon, Walmart, Target, or any of these websites to create a quick review or description. Then edit the title and body of the article to match what you want to say about the product.
As mentioned earlier, you can enable rich content for any site by clicking “Add Rich Content” under Settings -> Mode -> Add New Element. Once this is done, users will be able to add rich content such as photos, links, videos, and more!
This feature is very popular among bloggers. You can create an article with just about anything you want!
Users can also edit their own rich contents which was not possible before. For example, they could go back and delete or re-order pictures or links that were included.
There are some limitations to using rich content, however. Users cannot upload media longer than 3MB, there is a 1 MB limit for each link, and only certain file types can be used (JPG, GIF, PNG).
If you just want to use the rich content editor feature but you don’t have anything prepared yet, you can simply choose to disable it. You can do this by selecting disabled from the drop-down menu under the tool box header.
This way your students will be able to add basic content like pictures and bold text, but they won’t be able to edit their own content or include rich formatting such as fonts, colors, and links.
If you are already using Rich Content Tools in Canvas and would like to test out some additional features, you can easily re-enable them! Simply click the toggle switch next to “Enabled" to turn it back on.
After you have finished editing your canvas, click the little arrow next to Save at the bottom of the page and choose whether to enable the rich content editor or not.
If you want to use the rich content tool, make sure it is enabled. You can also upload an image or video using the rich content tool instead of just writing a short article.
The rich content tool comes with several features such as custom headers, supporting links, and more.
The last option you have is to enable rich content editing. You can do this by going into Settings > Writing under Press Release, Blog Post or Article. Here, you can choose whether or not you want to use the rich content editor.
You will also need to make sure that the Rich Content Toolbar is visible to users. By default, it is hidden until someone with edit permission creates an article or a post.
There are several ways to enable rich content editing for your Canvas Pages. You do not have to use the rich editor directly, but if you want more control over how your page looks, this is the best way to go about it.
The easiest way to do so is to install the Rich Content Toolbar from the Shopify Mobile app or via mobile web browser. This toolbar gives you easy access to all of the rich content tools such as fonts, colors, and background images.
Once installed, simply open up any canvas page and then press the button located at the top right corner of the screen to bring up the rich content toolbox. All of the features will be accessible!
If you would like to take advantage of richer formatting options than what is provided out-of-the-box, you can always edit the HTML source code of your webpage.
Sometimes, instead of using the rich content tool, users will use the classic text box or video uploader. These two tools are totally fine and can be used when you need to create simple documents!
But if you look closely at the settings for each tool, you’ll notice that they both have an option called “Enable rich content editor.” This setting normally is enabled by default, but sometimes it may not work properly due to software glitches or compatibility problems.
If you find that the rich content editors stop working, try going into Settings > Under the Hood and make sure the "Rich content" checkbox is checked.
This way, it will load the smart editor features even if the interface doesn't fully refresh yet.
If you visit www.Canvasp.com, you will notice that there is no rich content option when creating or editing posts unless you have this setting enabled.
By default, the Rich Content editor is not activated for two reasons. First, most website owners do not use the rich content tool very often so it is made disabled by Canva at launch to prevent users from wasting time adding and experimenting with rich media.
The second reason why the rich content tool is sometimes limited to sites is because some publishers prefer using their own internal tools to create content.
