The best way to develop expertise is by doing, not thinking. So throw yourself off at a tangent, write about something that scares you or makes you want to shift or tap dance around the house, and say “I don’t know” as often as possible.
That will force you to think about the topic more deeply, which is key to developing thoughtfulness. And being able to turn topics inside out is what differentiates good copywriters from great copywriters.

This is called backlining, and it’s an extremely valuable thing to do when writing about products because people don’t usually think about the details as they are using the product.
By backling your copy through processes such as thinking through examples and coming up with alternative ways to use the product, you will help others remember the content without having to read a word.
