Will Copywriting Be Automated

Not Yet

Even though there are software applications that can create content like blogs, you will still need to handle each part of the process manually. There are too many variables that could potentially break your flow; from changing your design to adjusting your headlines to finding out what else is hiding in the dark for your audience, there are multiple parts to it.

You also have to remember one very important fact — nobody reads articles anymore. Back in the day, when people read was fun, easy, and quick, writers were artists who pushed out artful writing designed to be loved.

Today, readers expect to enjoy an enjoyable experience when they read an article. If you want them to take time to read, then you’ll have to give them something worth reading.

Writing has never been more complicated, as anyone with a bad writer friend will tell you. Whether you’re a good writer or not, today’s expectations are hard to meet if you don’t know how to write.

And even if you do, you’re still expected to put up a great piece every week without help, which isn’t possible for most people.

Therefore, auto-writers are here to stay. And since we can’t all be Gen Y bloggers who code and release automation scripts, we should be asking ourselves—what will hold us back?

Writer’s Block

Sometimes, in the writing process, your enthusiasm can get the best of you. You want to write, but then everything else gets in the way.

There are deadlines for your work, and when you don’t have something immediately useful, there is a backlog of projects. It happens to the best of us.

But this doesn’t mean you have to give up. Whether you know it or not, you’re still working on procuring content, generating leads, building relationships, and making sales. All these things matter, no matter how much you might disagree with that statement!

It just means you'll have to focus more on the things which matters most to your business. Content production works great as long as you keep producing quality content.

You also need to understand your audience and what they care about. People who read your content will continue to do so because they trust you and believe you.

That’s why it’s important to put yourself in your readers’ shoes. Once you do that, you’ll realize you’ll spend less time writing general blogs and articles and more time focusing on substantive topics that matter to them.

Once you’ve finished your article, read how to remove any passages that look like they might be copied. This will prevent you from having to rewrite the same thing over and over again.

There are many ways that articles can get flagged by Google. The ones that get caught most often are the ones that rely on user behavior to determine if an article is spam.

If you write an article with things “similar to” what someone else has written, it helps if you think of those as opposites (i.e. not including tags or keywords). It also helps to choose unique words and phrases instead of repeated words.

Google actually provides warnings about possible instances of plagiarism when editing documents in Google Docs. You cannot stop these flags from being added to an article, but you can avoid them by revising chunks of content until each chunk is free of copyright material.
